My work on the Great Smoky National Park inside of ActivityGuidebook has slowed a bit but I have noticed some really good parks that are pretty much complete on this site. These are all pretty popular so I should not be surprised:

Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains : http://www.activityguidebook.com/details/descriptionDetails.jsp?markerId=39

Algonquin Park in Ontario : http://www.activityguidebook.com/details/descriptionDetails.jsp?markerId=486

and Point Reyes National Seashore in California : http://www.activityguidebook.com/details/descriptionDetails.jsp?markerId=35

also some interesting additions (but odd) are a couple in Canada's Arctic. I don't even think you can camp there (odd indeed).

Aulavik National Park : http://www.activityguidebook.com/details/descriptionDetails.jsp?markerId=36

Auyuittuq National Park : http://www.activityguidebook.com/details/descriptionDetails.jsp?markerId=37

I can't even pronounce these.

BTW - The handle is Pike because I love to fish Pike. All catch and release. Tight lines.
OK, this is my first post. I am both an outdoor and computer enthusiast. I have been using a site called ActivityGuidebook ( www.activityguidebook.com ) lately to start marking different campsites and other outdoor activities. It is pretty neat. It seems that the objective is to have a user-based Google map of all outdoor activities worldwide.

I am currently working on adding some info about the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. "Some info" may be an understatement. I think I have added over 50 points so far on the map for Smoky... perhaps more.

Anyway, the neat thing is that anyone can add new camping, hiking, climbing, biking, fishing, etc., points on the map and then they become part of the collective. People can then go and see the outdoor activites in a whole area without needing to go to multiple sites - and it is all map driven. Anyone can then go in and edit, rate, add photos, add maps, add events to any of the locations. Pretty neat indeed.

Anyway, I am working pretty hard on Smoky. Take a look. If you can help me out with adding info or photos, that would be great. This is a good starting point... the park HQ... http://www.activityguidebook.com/details/descriptionDetails.jsp?markerId=475 . Go there, hit map and see all the locations I am working on.

Cheers... Pike
